The Cost of a Child

Christopher has built the perfect life. He has got his dream job as an architect in Cambridge-on-Sea, he is married to his university girlfriend, and they have a young daughter together.

But sea levels are rising, refugees are pouring in from the coast, and inequality is driving protestors onto the streets. There are too many people crammed onto the British Isles and strict population control measures have been brought in.

And so, when Christopher discovers that his wife is pregnant again, he finds that his perfect life is not so perfect after all…
